Our Ecological Commitment
At Cafe De Vida we understand our responsibility to trade as an ethical business, and therefore carefully selected our supplier to ensure that the rights of our farmers and sustainability of our coffee remain a priority. After months of research and samplings we partnered with Flor De Apia, a Colombian producer from the hills of Apia, a little town in Risaralda in the middle of the coffee axis.
Our supplier founded the Small Coffee Growers Association (Procafes) to provide support and development to 26 families that work hard to produce our Multi Award Winning Gourmet Coffee. The Association guarantees the purchase of their coffee at a premium fee, higher than those offered by multinationals. Large part of the profits are invested in education and health of the farmer’s families. These efforts have been recognized by the municipalities and the National Federation of Coffee Growers.
